Function Key setup for a function

Hi. I'm doing a copy of multiple elements in multiple locations and use the 'snap to/pin' as my end location. I'm looking to set up a function key (say F2) to do this. So once I start copying the elements and select them and set my start from point, I want the function key to 'snap to/pin' when I hover over the next pin location. Anyone have a trick for that? Thanks in advance.
