Place replicate update selects unwanted items

I make a lot of designs with identical circuits. I use the Place Replicate function for that. But the replicate

modules need updates sometimes. When I do this, Orcad automatically selects a lot of unwanted planes,

traces etc.

When for instance I have a GND via connected to a component, on the update Orcad automatically

selects the GND planes in all layers to add to the replicate module including all the GND via's that

are connected to the planes. These were not in the original replicate. I then have to manually unselect

all via's and planes. And if I accidentally click a plane twice (deselect / select) all connected via's are

selected again as well!

Is there a setting to prevent this? If I update, I only want to have all items originally in the Place Replicate

selected and add the things I want myself. Now I have to check the whole board for things Orcad thinks

need to be added (and Orcad is not that smart in it...)

I use Orcad PCB Designer Professional 17.2.
