How to connect a via in few GND layers while disconnecting it on remaining GND layers

Hello All,

Is there any other way to connect a via(having GND net) on few GND layers and disconnect it from the remaining GND layers. The two ways I know are with limitations as below

  • To create route keepout/void on the layers where connections are not required but if there are lots of location where I need to create voids with lots of GND layers in stack up, then by following this process file size become too heavy.
  • By adding a flash symbol of a circle in the thermal definition of pad stack in the layers where connections are not required, but the problem with this method is that when you accidently apply that flash symbol in all GND layers instead of few layers then allegro will not show it as un-routed net in BRD because allegro assume that this pad stack is connected although pad stack is actually not connected.

No Shape connect will not solve this problem as by applying it via will not connect in all layer but I want it to connect in certain layers. If anyone of you have its solution/suggestion then please comment. Thanks

Khurram
