Room properties and IDF import poll

I'm a bit curious as to how other people do certain things. First of all......how many people require their logic engineers to assign room properties to every single component on an entire design? And, secondly, How many people require their mechanical designers to supply an IDF or .emn file with all of the pre placed components having reference designators assigned to them? Thanks in advance.
