Attached the schematics and pcb design. the part outside the white lines does not fit on the board. pcb size is 15x8mm. Total available space for pcba is 15x8x6mm. i appreciate your help.
I'm currently using version 16.3 of DEHDL and have all of the fonts set to Arial. When I drag a font around, it changes the font type to Concept Font (I think). Also when I double click text to change it, the cursor is in the wrong spot, presumably where it would be for the Concept Font.
Is this a bug in DEHDL or is something not setup correctly? If it's the latter, how do I fix it? Thanks.

I have a couple of rectangles in my design that are Package Geometry->Assembly_Top class/subclass. I'm not sure how they got there - I may have inadvertantly copied part of an old part that has since been deleted. Anyway, I can highlight the shape in question, and I can then see an option to move or copy the shape if I right click, but I'm not given an option to delete. If I select the shape and do either a cntrl-d or Edit->Delete, I get the following message:
Selected item not valid for current operation, ignored: Rectangle "Package Geometry/Assembly_Top"
No valid items selected for the current operation, exiting.
How do I get rid of this shape?

I just updated to v16.5 and the new Start Page/Getting Started screen is driving me nuts needing to close it every time I open a design. How can this be disabled?
i am trying to do a crosstalk analysis for group of nets...using sigxp which is bundled in OrCAD PCB Pro-16.6. now i would like to assign the aggressor info to the nets of my board. How can i assign aggressor/victim details to the nets on board

We have customised NCdrill legend and placed in Allegro_site locaiton, which is our server and is with readonly rights.
ncdpath variable points to this file location.($Allegro_site\pcb\nclegend)
nclegend_file point to the customised file name(my_default-mil.dlt)
With this we are able to generate only the first time the NCdrill chart. Second time we get error E- *Error* renameFile: file exists.
We deleted the NCparam.txt and it regenerates fine but wondering what's causing this issue.
Any taughts?

i made a simple power supply circuit in orcad9.2 capture cis and after
that i assign footprints to the components from existing liabraries and
then made its netlist and open it in layout but in layout it give me the
following compilation errors for most of the components:
electrical package cap_pol for comp c5 has at least one pin (2).
which has no corresponding pin on footprint CPLCY/D.275/LS125/.034
I am getting this kind of errors for most of the components used in schemetic. i am new to orcad and want the help of experts.
is it necessary to create my own footprints in layout and assign it to the components used?
i am now assigning the existing footprints to the components.
moreover i think it is drawback of orcad that it has no predefined assignment for the components as proteus have.
kindly guide me about that.

our company updated to 16.6, and now in orcad capture is broken zoom. In previous versions, I,O and C zoomed/moved to the point I pointed with mouse, but now in 16.6, C hotkey doesnt work at all and I,O zoom only to schematic center no matter how hard I try to point elsewhere.
Is this a stupid change or a bug?

In my office suddenly changed from layout to PCB editor. But me know only layout.Since my doubt is whether can i use layout library (*.llb) into PCB editor. still me had tried to import that files, but it was not not worked.
So me want to use the entire layout library to PCB Editor.
Does anyone have an idea on how to create a placement keep out for through hole components only? My dilema: We will place all components on the bottom side of the board. In one area I do not want any leads sticking through on the top side of the board. If I put a placement keep out on the bottom side of the board it will keep out surface mount parts too, these are allowed.
The only way I can see this working is to set a height restriction on the top side, but then I would have to build the lead length into all of our through hole components. Before taking on that task I would like to see if someone out there has a better solution :-)
I am facing a problem in programming the PROM in Orcad Capture (Cadence 16.3). Can anyone help me regarding how to generate an Intel hex file for PROM ?
and also with the procedure to link the hex file to my design?

I created an attachment using axlCreateAttachment(my_attachment nil 1 'file my_file)
I edit the file using axlUIEditFile(axlGetAttachment("my_attachment" 'file)->data). After saving the file, this save to a temp. directory, I want to update the current attachment.
Is there away to use axlSetAttachment() to update the current "my_attachment"? Or is there some other method?

I created a schematic in Capture 16.3 and I can no longer move any part or net. Whenever I try to move anything, it shows "Object move not completed as this resulted in connectivity changes". Does anyone know how to solve this?

I'm new to PCB Design. So I'm truing to do my fisrt PCB. I have made my schematics but I can't create a netlist. I select "PAGE1", that is my schematics not my project. I click on Create netlist and Accept. But after a few second the program show me that "ERROR(OrCAP-32042): Netlister failed. Please refer to Session Log or netlist.log for details".
Can anybody help me, please??

I am new to the Allegro PCB Team Design Option (Partition Editor). I have been able to create, export and import partitions with no issues, however I have been unable to see the Guideports....
I select Place>Design Partition>Guideports and the option tab displays the Guidport Commands. I then select Create and the Guideport Commands Console reports Total Guideports: 32 (for this example). This suggests that they have been created, yet I am unable to find them in the master design to adjust their position.
What am I missing here? Any suggestions?

I’m beginner in PCB design actually in electronics. My question is about a capacitors and resistors. If I would like to alter the footprint of a capacitor in PCB layout from 8080 to 0603 (for example), dose the circuit function will affected? what are the main things that I must consider or keep in mind?
Note: the value of the value of the capacitance and resistant is the same I just change the footprint.
As you see from my question I’m beginner J any help will really appreciated.
