just i had start to work on the prelayout analysis on the capture 16.6 using signal explorer. In this analysis,when i try to export the specific net using signal explorer, default of ground is getting extracted on the signal explorer. Otherwise the when i try to select small single net, whole entire circuit is been get extracted.
I have created the memory circuit as a module from 8 Layer Stack-up and i want to reuse the module in the 2 Layer Stack-up as well as i need to follow the Refdes sequences as per my current design. While bringing the module to the current design the tool ask me to provide prefix for the entire circuit( for Ex. *_U1,etc...) and i cannot be able to rename the Refdes. Can any one of you explain me the procedure to rename the module Refdes.

I had entered the logomaker command in the allegro editor, then error occurs as
Command > logomaker
E- Unable to start program; makebitmap
E- Unable to start program; potrace

In install procedure, the
2/ mkbitmap - Distributed with the potrace utility. How to run it.
I had defined env variable paths as dave defined. but still the error occurred.
After the success of the installation, logomaker entered means the window appears as plug in options. The image attached link is below.

When i try to place the SMD & Through hole components inside my board, the components pin nets are not get enabled, also yellow colour mark outline is also get marked on corresponding pin.

Then i had tried to update the netlist also, not succeeded . On the constraint manager also the nets not enabled.

I got the following error while netlisting a design. i dont know what is the problem, if anybody knows or experienced on this error, pls help me to solve.
#1 ERROR(ORCAP-36052): Value for property PCB Footprint contains carriage return for CAN.

Is there a listing anywhere of the stock footprints and the names Orcad uses for them?
For example, I have a 0464001.DR Littlefuse UMF, and don't know if there's a footprint already.

I need to convert some footprints from .llb to .brd directly.I had tried option in layout tool-----> Catalog---->Create----> .... that conversion i is only possible in the OrCAD Layout 16.2. I had also succeeded in that.
Then now using Cadence 16.6.038. The above option for conversion is also known, but me need to import .llb files directly to pcb editor. It is possible.
Most of old product libraries are in older product. I had imported the max files and worked with it.
Either any tricks for conversion of libraries into PCB Editor. I want to use lib files directly in PCB editor.

how I can calculate the IC trace length (or better package delay) of any IC using only IBIS model? I need this data to match relative delay of nets in target PCB design.
I think I need to make any simulations to calculate this kind of delay.
Could someone provide to me any instuctions how I can implement this or maybe provide example, please.

I had created the all manufacturing files for PCB fabrication. I had provided Enhanced excellon output, then generated the drill.
I had tried several number of times and user preference options too checked, but not generating the file (.drl) in working directory??

Hi all, a question about inserting a section.
I would like to insert a section between two sections of an existing heterogenous part.
e.g, insert a section U?B between two existing sections U?A and U?B.
how shall I go with this? Currently I change the number of section in the Option but the new section will only append at the end of the part.

I had finished my board and finally drill chart is also been get generated. Then my doubt is in OrCAD layout, drill file will been get enabled drill chart table below, but in the OrCAD PCB editor the when i try to import it on GC PREVUE 22.6, the drill holes are only get enabled. The below drill table are not get enabled.
I had tried to import the layout drill file and PCB editor drill file separately. I had find the drill chart table below the drill layer on layout. But i can't find out the drill table below the (.drl) PCB editor file.

I'm looking for some feedback in regards to Allegro Design Publisher.
All I am really looking for is a way to print intelligent pdfs from Allegro. I want to print all layers at once and have the ability to turn them on/off in the pdf. It makes it easier to review for folks that do not have Allegro installed or do not want to bother with the free viewer.
AutoCAD has this function.
Are there any other features that you've found very useful with this add-on?

I have a BRD file that was converted from 16.2 to 16.5. It has a leader line that was fixed in 16.2. I am unable to delete it in 16.5. Is there some way to change the property on this dimension?
We have a flex license for two Allegro PCB Design seats. While we renew and pay an annual maintenance fee on both licenses, if it happens that one is under utilized and we only use it sporadically, I like to understand what happens if we pay for maintenance on only one seat. Will the second one stop operating when the maintenance expires? Is there anything that is going to bar us from using the second package? We paid for both packages, just don't wish to maintain both of them, does the second one become inoperable?
I am not clear on where to find these answers. If anyone has an explanation or a link to an explanation that they can share, this would be greatly appreciated.

I am getting the following error message : ERROR(ORCAP-1687): Macro Player. unable to place object.
In command window I get : Command Failed. Reason: Invalid Path or Invalid Argument(s).
I've tried different path formats but it doesn't work for me.
Any solution to this problem?

Due to change in my PCB stackup, I'd like to change quickly a lot of differential pairs since the space between the pairs has been modified.
Is there a way to do it very quickly rather than sliding each etch segment one by one.
